Sharon's Turkey Stuffing Recipe

1-2 T   Olive oil
1  medium onion chopped
2-3 stalks of celery chopped
1 egg, lightly beaten 
1 cup water
Heat olive oil in saucepan to sauté onion and celery.  In a large bowl combine stuffing mix and sautéed mixture.  Add egg and water, and combine. Stuff mixture loosely into neck cavity. If your turkey is small and you have extra stuffing place in a baking dish to bake in the oven. 
To me, the best stuffing always comes out of the turkey, but I like to make a double batch and bake extra in an oven dish for leftovers.  Other ingredients like sausage, mushrooms, apples or pecans can be added to stuffing, but in my opinion it doesn't  need anything else.
